about the shoot:
soooo my friend, ~ramirei, really wanted to do a photo shoot based off of the PV for SPICE! sung by Kagamine Len. originally i had only cosplayed Miku with her being Len. we posted a few things in a few places looking for other local Vocaloids cosplayers with no success. just so happened that i had gotten my Len wig just after our first shoot. it was still long enough to be Rin, so i thought why not? we talked about it and made plans for this shoot a million times (each time our photog cancelled on us). so earlier this year we got a professional photographer she had known from a previous shoot. we did the shoot at the state library and it was pretty fun. we kept moving around trying not to bother people or make noise. lighting was limited and there was a security guard walking around (only right when we decided to do a shot where Len lies on the ground), but everything was all good. this shot in particular was actually kind of hard. i'm taller than her so i had to kind of crouch (almost like sitting on an invisible chair) and it sort of made my legs hurt. then, on top of that, i was trying SO damn hard not to laugh. buuuuuuuut in the end it was all worth it. this is my favourite shot from the shoot.
about the cosply:
like i said before, the wig was actually a wig i had purchased for Len, but i improvised for this shoot and made it a Rin wig. i originally had an actual uniform that i my aunty in Japan sent to me, buuuut a friend of mine borrowed and never returned it. so i had to make this one. i made the whole thing in all of two hours because it was the day before the shoot (only not really because it got cancelled). a lot of it was fabric i had lying around and clothes from goodwill. my 'bow' if actually a piece of felt. i didnt have interfacing so all i had that would stand on its own was felt so i decided to just go with it c:}
